Schedule: Monday to Friday, 28 hours each per week - could increase to 40 hours each

A friendly inclusive family are seeking a dynamic, self motivated, practical and resourceful domestic couple for hardworking and fun on St Martin’s in the Isles of Scilly (28 miles off the coast of Cornwall). Other obvious qualities will include common sense, trustworthy, communicative, hardworking, friendly & reliable.
Please note this is a job for a couple, not for single applicants as we require 2 people

Accommodation:
Accommodation is provided  in a comfortable and private fully furnished 1-bedroom barn conversion which has Wi-Fi, TV, shower room, fully equipped kitchen/ lounge/ diner and separate bedroom, with a secluded garden and garden furniture. The property is non-smoking (bills are included).
Work will be split between two properties, the main house in beautiful secluded gardens with a swimming pool and a 2-bedroom rental property that is let from April to October on a Friday.
Duties will include but not limited to:
- Looking after the lawns and gardens
- Hedge cutting
- Vegetable garden and greenhouse
- Swimming pool maintenance and pool room
- Cleaning windows
- Removing rubbish & recycling from properties
- Light property maintenance
- Assisting with housework in the main house and    preparation before arrivals
- Cleaning the guest accommodation to a very high standard on changeover days
- Checking the inventory so that the property is fully equipped for the next guests
- Checking and reporting any maintenance issues
- Greeting guests and assisting with luggage
Skills Required but not limited to:
- A full UK Driving License (or equivalent) as a car is available
- You must be practical & multi-skilled with experience in property maintenance & gardening
- Experienced in or have good knowledge of housekeeping
- You must be able to maintain high standards throughout your work and use your own initiative to prioritise your own workload
- Able to work independently
- You must be physically fit, have a passion for outdoor work and a keen eye for detail
- Have a 'can-do' attitude and a flexible approach to handle diverse tasks & seasonal demands
- Basic car maintenance, plumbing/ electrical/ joinery skills would be an advantage
- Competent in using hand tools & power tools for gardening tasks (Tractor, push mower, strimmer & hedge trimmer)

- Chainsaw experience would be beneficial
- Excellent attention to detail
- Consistently hard working, flexible and enthusiastic
- Good English

Salary: £50,000 + per year, combined. Negotiable
